Values
Jennifer’s children, now teenagers, used to play a game that involved imagining the significant people in their lives as kinds of food. Mom, they decided, was “a healthy sandwich with a salad on the side.” (Dad was a donut.)
Jen’s kids were pretty perceptive. She considers herself to be someone who strives to be “right” in her actions, both in the sense of being correct and ethical. She is very active in her community, including sitting on the executive of her neighbourhood association, the board of an environmental non-profit, and a task force promoting fair trade.
But don’t think Jen is some self-righteous do-gooder. She also highly values creativity and humour. If Jennifer is a healthy salad, she wears a kick-ass dressing.
